The Hotel Majestic is one of the first places that I discovered whilst staying just off Passeig de Gràcia for our first few weeks in Barcelona. It’s my top tip for the best Sangria in Barcelona.
So far, it wins hands down in the Sangria stakes! It isn’t cheap but you’re definitely not just paying for the cocktail.
The hotel is right on the Passeig de Gràcia, between Gaudí’s iconic Casa Batlló and his Pedrera apartment block, and handily placed for shopping, particularly at the higher end.
It’s a place I always take guests and somewhere I’ve been back a number of times now. The service is very good and it’s definitely a ‘place to be seen’ if your a visiting tourist. What first hits me is the amazing smell when you walk into the lobby. I have no idea what it is, so you’ll have to sniff for yourself, but it’s like a gorgeous summery perfume.
Make sure you try to visit on a weekday as weekends can be ridiculously busy and you’re likely to end up joining a long waiting list. You don’t have to be a guest at the hotel, just head straight to the elevators and up to the top floor.
